Weblog Tools
A collection of links to useful web logging tools.
- Weblog clients:
These are similar to e-mail and news-reader clients, such as Microsoft Outlook and Mozilla Thumderbird. Depending on the operating system and browser you use, there are a number of options. These are some I am aware of, all cross-platoform.
Performancing for Firefox
The Performancing plug-in for Firefox is pretty cool. Install it as you would any other Firefox extension, restart the browser, and you’re done. Pressing F8 opens up a bottom tab within the browser, which is easily set-up to connect to a blogging system. Once you’ve configured it (and it takes about 1 minute or so), you’re all set! Blog away. It works on Windows, Macs and Linux systems.
Flock Social Browser
Alternatively, just get Flock! Flock is a Firefox/Gecko engine-based browser (which, incidently, looks almos exactly like Firefox), tuned to the semantic and social-web. It natively supports blogs and handles RSS beatifully. Works on Windows, Macs and Linux systems as well.
More to come!
